I am Chandra Premdass and I was born in Guyana, South America and attended St. Joseph’s High School Georgetown Guyana. I was an elementary school teacher in Guyana before migrating to the United States at the age of 21. I lived in New York City when I arrived in the US. In June of 1987 I became a naturalized citizen.
While living in New York, I attended Queensborough Community College and graduated with an associate of science degree from Molloy College, Long Island New York in 1992. I was on the Dean’s list twice. I married Daniel Premdass in Bedford Presbyterian Church in Brooklyn New York. Today, we have three wonderful sons – Rock, Nick and Chris.
As a family we were all active members of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church Brooklyn and Redeemer Lutheran Church Queens Village in New York. We lived in Brooklyn and Queens Village NY as well as New Jersey, before moving to Clermont, Florida. When we moved to Clermont in 2007 we quickly became active members of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church. I am excited to be serving on Shepherd of the Hills Church council.
