The Shepherd of the Hills adult choir meets each Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. in the choir room. The choir offers music at most 10:15 worship services and has special music at some 8:00 a.m. services.

Although special musical offerings are offered the Choir does not practice during the summer.

From time to time the choir has special performances such as the Easter and Christmas cantatas and the spring Gospel Sing.

A highlight of the year is the choir annual Christmas party at director, Ed Frame's house. The choir also sponsors various pot luck dinners and other functions.

Ed

Ed Frame, the music director invites all who are interested in music to come to choir.

The Shepherd’s Choir sings a Hallelujah chorus of thanksgiving for your generous donations for new choir robes during the second annual Lutheran Gospel Sing and subsequent drive. Enough money has been received to cover the entire cost.

The Choir Robe Committee, chaired by Peggy Wilk, has purchased, received and are using our new choir robes.

Choir Robes

In the original church [the one that came from Groveland on the back of the truck 50 years ago], the choir had dark blue robes that lasted twenty some years. When the highway 50 ‘new church’ was built in the 1970s, the church purchased the current white/ivory shepherd robes for the choir -- these lasted for over 25 years.

Instrumentals

Occasionally, we supplement our worship experience with instrumentals. Piano, clarinet, violin, and a gospel rock band are some of the types of instrumentals we have heard.

Nevin Thompson has frequently added his wonderful clarinet music as soloist or part of a choir anthem and Dr. Irving Jones has given us his talents on the piano by substituting for Ed when he is gone and by providing offertory music.

Instrumentals

If you have any instrumental experience, please contact us as we are always looking for additional volunteers.
