The Shepherd’s Choir sings a Hallelujah chorus of thanksgiving for
your generous donations for new choir robes during the second annual Lutheran
Gospel Sing. At last count,
$3147.50 was donated plus $700 in matching funds from Thrivent, exceeding the
goal of $3,000.
The Choir Robe Committee, chaired by Peggy Wilk, met with a choir
robe company. Information is still
being gathered, but forward progress towards the goal of new robes is
underway.
In the original church [the one that came from Groveland on the back of the truck 50 years ago], the choir had dark blue robes that lasted twenty some years. When the highway 50 ‘new church’ was built in the 1970s, the church purchased the current white/ivory shepherd robes for the choir. These lasted for over 25 years.
