The Shepherd’s Choir sings a Hallelujah chorus of thanksgiving for your generous donations for new choir robes during the second annual Lutheran Gospel Sing.  At last count, $3147.50 was donated plus $700 in matching funds from Thrivent, exceeding the goal of $3,000.

The Choir Robe Committee, chaired by Peggy Wilk, met with a choir robe company.  Information is still being gathered, but forward progress towards the goal of new robes is underway.

In the original church [the one that came from Groveland on the back of the truck 50 years ago], the choir had dark blue robes that lasted twenty some years.  When the highway 50 ‘new church’ was built in the 1970s, the church purchased the current white/ivory shepherd robes for the choir.  These lasted for over 25 years.

Choir
The Shepherd of the Hills adult choir meets each Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. in the choir room.  The choir offers music at most 10:15 worship services and has special music at some 8:00 a.m. services.

Although special musical offerings are offeredthe Choir does not meet during the summer.

From time to time the choir has special performances such as the Easter and Christmas cantatas and the spring Gospel Sing.

A highlight of the year is the choir annual Christmas party at director, Ed Frame's house.  The choir also sponsors various pot luck dinners and other functions.

Ed Frame, the music director invites all who are interested in music to come to choir.
